TPS62130: dimming with SS/TR pin in Pspice

Part Number: TPS62130

Hello,

is dimming with the SS/TR pin supported in PSPICE for the TPS62130? If so is there any guidance on how to implement this? we're having some issues getting that working.

thanks!

  • Hi Nate,

I just tested this out on PSPICE for TI and I was able to vary the Diode current based on the SS/TR resistor.

The datasheet gives the following guide on using this device for LED dimming.

Using a 0.1Ω resistor for R2 and a 50k resistor for R_ss/tr, I was able to produce 800mA current through the diode. When you vary the values of R_ss/tr it varies the LED current.

The expected current can be calculated from I_led = Vfb/R2. Where Vfb is given in the above figure.

Let me know if you are still having issues.

    Thanks,

    Joseph
