TPS65150: Enquire recommended LCD bias driver for new panel

Hi,

My customer will use new panel from Innolux, but it looks VGL cannot meet the requirement if AVDD is 8.2V.

Could you please provide suggestion for this new panel requirement?

AVDD= 8.2V

VGH= 12.5V

VGL= -13V

If possible, customer want to have new solution with power rails of AVDD, VGH, VGL and VCOM.

We found a discussion for adding 2nd stage to have lower voltage for -13V, could you please confirm this is no problem with TPS65150?

Hello Tiger,

Yes, you can add a second stage to the negative charge pump, like discussed in the app note, to achieve more negative VGL voltage.
