TPS543C20: Current limit for 2 stack application

Hi,

If TPS543C20 application is 2pcs stack, I would like to know the current limit detection is only for single chip or it could detect both of single phase OCP and dual phase OCP?

Hi Tiger,

You will be able to calculate the OCP trip point of each individual chip using the equation found on the bottom of page 21 of the data sheet. In a two stack configuration, both of the chips will have their own OCP trip point which will be added together to create the total configuration's OCP trip point.
