BQ25710: VBUS UVLO

Part Number: BQ25710

Hi team,

what would happen if 5V VBUS drop below  VBUS_CONVENZ  for a short period of time?

this is not listed in the datasheet?

please help elaborate, thanks

  • Hi Fred,

If VBUS drops below VBUS_CONVENZ, the converter operation will stop (no charging), REGN LDO will turn off, and CHRG_OK will go low.

When VBUS again goes above this threshhold, the device will behave as it does on power up from VBUS:

    1. 50 ms after VBUS above VVBUS_CONVEN, enable 6 V LDO and CHRG_OK goes HIGH
    2. Input voltage and current limit setup
    3. Battery CELL configuration
    4. 150 ms after VBUS above VVBUS_CONVEN, converter powers up.

    Thanks,

    Khalid
