Hello,

Why were aluminum polymer caps chosen for the 33uF? Can ceramic be used for lower ESR?

    Hi Michael,

    The installed polymer caps have very low ESR and are only necessary for backup mode.  Ceramic capacitors can be substituted but you will likely need more than 3x10uF ceramic since ceramic capacitors derate significantly with applied voltage.
