Need your help.

I have 3-S pack with BQ40Z50-R2 . After AOLDL or ASCDL trigger. The output can not resume to normal. AOLDL or ASCDL flag keep red with moment clear.

Setting below for AOLDL and ASCDL. attahment the GG file.

Hello Zeng,

Make sure you are getting all the conditions met to clear the AOLDL and ASCDL latches depending on if you have NR set or not.

Both can also be enabled as a PF which would disable the pack completely.

NR was set to 1. By the way, All setting is same as that for BQ40Z50-R1 in our another product. it work well for BQ40Z50-R1。

Hi Zeng,

So long as you are meeting the conditions for Latch Reset with NR = 1, you should see the bit clear. If the AOLDL bit is set again after a breif moment of clear, this tells me that you are constantly satisfying the requirement to trip the protection. Can you check the value of Current() when this behavior is occurring?

I am sure the load is removed. the current is 0. I have to click the " reset " button to make AOLDL flag clear. This issue never occured for BQ40Z50-R1 and

bq40z50. I wandor if any bugg in BQ40Z50-R2.

Hi Zeng,

I have looked through the firmware code to try and discover any difference before testing and found nothing. I will get some detailed test results for you tomorrow to hopefully solve the cause of this behavior.

Hello Zeng,

It sounds like there is some voltage being applied to the SRN and SRP pins in order to keep tripper this protection. You may have removed the load and the gauge will report 0mA, but the protection could still trip if there is a brief increase in current that satisfies your AOLD settings.

When I disable the AOLDL , AOLD can trip and release normally. that means no brief current after remove the load. I think.
