UCC12040: UCC12040 and UCC14240-Q1 CMTI spec difference

Hi Expert,

In my understanding, the CMTI performance is determined by Cio.

I find that UCC12040 and UCC14240-Q1 have the same spec on Cio, but UCC12040 CMTI is much smaller than UCC14240-Q1. May I know the reason? Thanks!

Hello,

The answer is yes.

Transformer is similar, but UCC14240-Q1 control IC is faster, more accurate, and better noise immunity.

The isolation capacitor alone doesn’t fully define the CMTI capability.
