Design of 115VAC/400Hz to 24VDC 50W Power Supply

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28610, UCC28711, UCC28704

We are having a requirement to design 115VAC/400Hz to 24VDC 50W Power Supply.

can any one suggest me to which ic i can use this application

  • Hello,

I searched the TI reference design library and found this PMP7167 off line flyback that is close to your design needs using the UCC28610.

    Regards,

  • can u suggested one ic that have facility as a input AC=115 V ,400 Hz or DC=28 V one at a time  as a input and out as 5 V DC and 1 A

  • Hello,

400 Hz is the line frequency generally air craft or ship power.  So you just need a a bridge rectifier which that design has.

I marked up the schematic to show the AC to DC converter using a bridge rectifier and storage capacitance.  Then you step down the DC voltage to 28V in a DC to DC flyback converter.  I believe the control IC in this design is a UCC28610 and this reference design would work in your application for 50 W.

On your other post I had recommended using the UCC28711 or UCC28704 and recommended to reference designs as well for the 5 W application.

    Regards,
