What would happen to this device if run in DCM? I did not see any mention of this in the datasheet.

HI Raymond,

TPS565208 works in FCCM mode, which means that inductor current is continuous even under light load. DCM condition would not appear in the operation of TPS565208.

That makes sense. I was wondering is this FCCM part of the DCAP control method?

TPS565208 is FCCM buck converter with DCAP2 control.
