TPS2065D: current limit behavior

Hello,

Our customer has a question about TPS2065D behavior when current limit works at resistive load. When he evaluate 5Vin, 1ohm resistive load condition, the output keeps 1.5A (current limit) x 1 ohm resistive load but the output voltage is down in certain point (see the pdf file in detail).

Would you please help him out how TPS2065D works in this condition ?

I am wondering that it was happened by RDSon increasing due to  die temperature rising.

    VOUT drop is because of over temperature shutdown. When the load applies, there are 1.5A*(5V-1.5V) power dissipation on power FET, so the die temperature rise above OTSD threshold soon. Also see below description as below.
