Two PTH08080W in the same PCB sharing input (but not output)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PTH08080W

Is there any reason not to put two PTH08080W on the same pcb sharing the same input voltage (but not the output) ?

  • The PTH08080W must not share the inhibit  pin or Vout Bus .

Each PTH08080W , inhibit pin , must have their separate open drain control FET. The inhibit pin must not be pulled up externally to Vin or any other  voltage. The PTH08080W has its own internal pull-up to about 1.5V.

The PTH08080W is not parallelable for increased output current . This operation will overstress the module.
