BQ4050: Don't have temperature chamber for CEDV data collection

Hi,

I don't have temperature chamber to perform CEDV data collection procedure.

I could collect the data at room_temperature and somehow at low temperature (thinking of using refrigerator) at around 8-10 degree celsius.

But I won't be able to get for higher temperature. Could you suggest any workaround?

If I provide the hightemperature data same as room temp, would that help?

My battery pack configuratoin is 2S 6000maH LifePO4.

Hello Amit,

Unfortunately you will need some kind of temp chamber to collect the data for CEDV coefficients. You can use the uncompensated EDV points, but gauging accuracy will be affected at different temperatures and discharges.

You can use the EDV_CMP bit to disable CEDV.

Hello Amit,

Yes you can follow the guide there, the BQ78350 also uses CEDV so you can follow similar guidelines with both gauges. That thread explains how to set the EDV points without using the GPC CEDV tool, but it will reduce accuracy.

Thanks for your confirmation.

Untill I can get a way to collect CEDV data collection at high temperature I woulld test with EDV setting only.
