Could it be feasible and make sense to apply an ideal diode (controller - like the LM5050) in order to substitute the diode in a async buck converter in order to have on the one hand side the benefits of a synchronous buck converter in CCM but also a diode behaviour as in an async buck converter in DCM ?
Are there some drawbacks or considerations that should be taken into account with such an approach?
