UCD90320: TI UCD90xxx comparion report

Hi there

Do you have comparsion document between TI UCD90xxx, CPLD, BMC?

We are thinking about chances to replace CPLD and BMC with TI UCD 90xxx series.

    Hi

    It is up to what kind of feature you are looking for from CPLD and BMC side and it is hard to have a side by side comparison among these.  

    UCD90xxx main function is to sequencing monitoring, margining and house keeping.

    What kind of function do you use from the CPLD or BMC? Can those function be covered by the UCD90?

    Hi there

    Let me put this way, what futures does UCD90320  have in comparison with CPLD or BMC ?

    For example, UCD90320 is cheaper and it is easier to program even for hardware engineer, user-friendly interface...etc


    I mean TI developed this IC, there must be some reasons or intention.

    We are talking about the product features or system requirement

    We develop the UCD90xxx is to manage on-board power. all the features are listed in the data sheet,

    CPLD and BMC has so many variant and they offer different features. 

    For example BMC can run linux but we can not. is this needed by your system?

    We need understand what you requirement .
