USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01: Tried connecting USB2ANY to USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01 and the GUI shows no serial connection

I have tried connecting USB2ANY to USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01 using TPS25750 Application Customization GUI but it doesn't seem to connect.

GUI shows no serial connection (tried clicking connect button on the bottom left and it just says "hardware not connected".

USB2ANY Explorer seems to connect ok after updating firmware. Why is the EVM not being detected?

I should add that the serial port configuration (opens when selecting Serial port along the bottom) states "Not enough USB ports detected". There are no ports listed in the dropdown box.

Hello,

You cannot program the TPS25750 with the USB2ANY, only the Aardvark or a clip on flash programmer.

I can connect to a device and configure it using USB2ANY. I expect the configuration to be retained only as long as the EVM remains powered.

USB2ANY can be used to connect to various EVM based on Section 3.4 of USB2ANY Interface Adapter (ti.com)

Also the schematic for TIDA-050047 Sheet 1 of 3 shows clearly that header J3 is intended for connection to USB2ANY.

Unfortunately with this board we only support Aardvark or a clip on flash programmer.

If would be nice if this information was shared on user guide for thIs EVM or labelled on schematic “debug only”.

How many of your customers have bought usb2any for $99 to realise it is useless?
