LM5143-Q1: Boot Diode Spec

HI, team,

My customer is designing LM5143-Q1 for next-gen digital cockpit system. ONe question about boot diode spec may need your confirmation.

In LM5143-Q1 EVM user guide, boot diode is 60V/1A, what is the consideration to select this spec?
If it is over spec, how to select a downgrade diode here? Just take EVM design as reference.

Hi Johnny,

A 0.2A to 1A diode is fine. A lower current diode may have better reverse leakage current at hot.

Thanks for reply, how about t he voltage rating? 60V is mandatory?

Just keep it higher than Vin. For example, if Vin-max is 42V, then go with 60V.
