Can we use a ceramic capacitor as Cout? Currenty, customer is considering to use 10uF ceramic capacitor.

Hi Uchikoshi-San,
LM317 does not require an output capacitor, however, it will help improve the transient performance of the device. To your question, yes, the LM317 can use a ceramic capacitor on the output.
