TPS54561: TPS54561 and TPS54561-Q1 part difference regarding

Part Number: TPS54561

I need clarification in part difference for TPS54561 and TPS54561-Q1.

From datasheet i could find following difference,

Parameter TPS54561-Q1 TPS54561
ESD rating Automotive  AEC-Q100
AEC Q100-002 indicates HBM stressing is done in accordance with the ANSI/ESDA/JEDEC JS-001 specification.
Catalog
Human body model: (1) JEDEC document JEP155 states that 500-V HBM allows safe manufacturing with a standard ESD control process.
Charged device model: (2) JEDEC document JEP157 states that 250-V CDM allows safe manufacturing with a standard ESD control process.

Shall i use TPS54561 part as a replacement for TPS54561-Q1. Is there any other difference other than the above point and please elaborate the ESD qualification (Automotive and Catalog)

  • Hi,

The Q-1 is an automotive grade device that adheres to the AEC-Q100 standards. The TPS54561 is the commercial grade, while the TPS54561-Q1 is the automotive grade.

Both devices use the same IC.

    Regards,
