Hello to Ti support Team ,

My Configuration is Cascade Connection of 2X10cells , 2 IC's bq76PL455A-Q1 . Par 6.5 in data sheet not describe properly .

I would like to know :

1. Isense Cells 1P-10P : Normal/IDLE/Shut DownCurrent Consumption input of Cells Measurement 1P-10P ( Vsense ) .

2. ITop pin 10P Connection . Normal/IDLE/Shut DownCurrent Consumption.

2.1 Is This Top pin Current differ bottom 10 cells IC from 10 upper cells IC ?

3. VP1 Current Consumption Pin . Normal/IDLE/Shut DownCurrent

3.1 Is This VP1 pin Current differ bottom 10 cells IC from 10 upper cells IC ?

4. VIO Current Consumption Pin . Normal/IDLE/Shut DownCurrent

4.1.Is This VIO pin Current differ bottom 10 cells IC from 10 upper cells IC ?

Hello Alexander,

I am curious as to why you are using the 455 and not the 616. The 616 provides much better voltage measurement accuracy and IQ current. We recommend upgrading to the 616 so that we can provide better support to you.

I am looking for 20s balancer what types of ic balancer you can suggest ? Is it possible to find one ic balancer for 20s connection?

Can you please supply change list table according 455 and 616 ? The most important parameter for me is Iq .

Hi Alexander,

The 616 supports 16 cells, so you would have to stack two of them which shouldn't be a problem. You can request access to mySecureSW in the product folder for the 616 and 455. There you will find extensive data sheets and application notes with all the appropriate parameters for your design.

1. Can I use for my applicaion BQ79612-Q1 , 2 IC's cascade connection to get 20S , What do you think about this solution ?

1. Do I need mandatory 1X79600 ( Additional IC ) for implementation 20S with 2X79612 ?

2. Please assist how get mySecureSW in the product folder to receive maximum data according to 616 and 415 solution .

Hi Alex,

1. We recommend using the BQ79600 as a communication bridge to the battery monitors, however it is not mandatory. The BQ79612 is capable of receivng UART commands from the MCU and sending them up the stack.

2. In the product folder you should be able to request access to mySecureSW for each of the respective devices. Once granted access you will be able to see all the relevant information for your design.
