UCD3020: ADC reference in TI fusion digital power designer

Part Number: UCD3020
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD90320

Hi there

What does external ADC reference voltage do ?

Does it relate to AMON pins?

It means that AMON pin can not accept voltage higher than 3.0V?

  • Mike, this is really a UCD90320 question.  While I am familiar with the UCD3020, I can't translate this knowledge to the UCD90320 because the pinout is different, and the pin names are different, and I'm not familiar with the programming of the 90320.  For future questions, please refer to the 90320.  I'm going to forward this to the 90320 application engineers.

  • Hi

UCD90320 can support both internal and external ADC reference which is to determine the max voltage that ADC can sample

If you need monitor any voltage larger than the reference, a external voltage divider is required.
