LM317: how much is the over current protection threshold?

Customer would like to understand how much the over current protection threshold is for LM317DCY. Could you please help check it? Thank you.

    Hi Aki,

    The max current is limited by the power being dissipated in the device, and is shown in the EC table:

    The current limit feature of this device is different than regular LDOs and is more a function of the internal temperature.
