TUSB1146: Adaptive EQ / GPIO Mode

Part Number: TUSB1146
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65987D,

Hello,

I'm working on a DFP design using TUSB1146 and TPS65987D and would like to try using AEQ since I'm unsure of the final channel length which will probably be a mix of cables or devices. So I have a few questions that I'll just rattle off:

1) Is it possible to enable Full AEQ when in GPIO mode controlled by the PD phy?

2) Or, conversely, using I2C mode is there a example project/bin for the PD configuration tool to set the TUSB1146 device configuration and AEQ?

3) Is it possible to mix GPIO and I2C modes at all or are they totally mutually exclusive? i.e. can I switch to I2C mode and set EQ registers then back to GPIO mode or will the EQ setting pins overwrite the registers?

4) Could I please get a copy of the TPS65987D bin for the TUSB1146EVM and also the gerbers?

Thanks for your time!
