TPS2H160-Q1: Power supply pins shared/dedicated

Part Number: TPS2H160-Q1

Hello,

this device has 2 power supply pins and 2 switches. The supply pins are internally shorted together or each of them is dedicated to a switch?

I ask you because when I simulate the SPICE model I see that the current flowing in pin VS1 is equal to the current flowing in pin OUT1 and the current flowing in pin VS2 is equal to the current flowing in pin OUT2.

Thanks,

Regards,

Andrea

  • Hi Andrea,

The pins are shorted together inside the IC. If you have separate connections for VS1 and VS2 outside of the IC, you should see the current split depending on impedance in each line. However, we always ask customer to connect pins together at the IC itself. There could be inaccuracy in simulations as well.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

    Regards,

    Yichi
