TPS65988EVM: Compliance mode

Greetings,

I am using the TPS65988EVM together with a keysight UXR scope to understand how to do compliance testing of USB.

Keysight have their own compliance testing application, with this application the DUT should enter compliance mode but this does not seem to happen for me.

I do not find much information in the datasheet of both the EVM and the TPS65988.

Is the compliance mode implemented in the TPS65988, and if so, why does it not trigger when I try to use it? Do I need to use the GUI of the TPS65988EVM to be able to do the compliance testing?

    Hi Louis,

    Our PD/EVM does not support compliance mode, we test our PD directly as a product. From the GUI, you can generate a VIF (.xml) file to upload to testers that describes the DUT capabilities and what it does (not) support. This VIF is necessary in order to do any compliance testing.
