Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC3842,
Dear Team,
May I know why the Vout limitation is 50V?
I couldn't find it on DS.

Many Thanks,
Jimmy

Jimmy,
UCC2897A is not limited to 50V output. This is a "practical" limitation assigned by WEBENCH. We see similar limits placed on GP PWMs such as UC3842 where WEBENCH limits the "practical" input voltage to 400V but a design of VION=1kV can easily be done with UC3842. For UCC2897A, the reflected secondary current is used to drive the ZVS resonant transition so I will say that if the output voltage is greater than 50V, the output current should be less than ~2A and when you reflect this current to the primary it may not be practical from the standpoint that ZVS is not able to occur very easily. Most of the intended applications are using UCC2897A operating from telecom input voltage and converting to low voltage, high current output. Thanks for connecting through E2E.
