TPS54331: TPS54331DR current limit

The current limit for Vin=24V is also the same. We could not change the current limit to 4A, this is over current limit which is determined by internal control. If you need higher OC limit you may refer to TPS54531. But would you please tell me why you need a higher OC limit?

Thank you for confirming, but internal current threshold is 5.8A?, can't we change the this value by tuning or doing something? Because provided output inductor is having Irms and Isat is 4.0A, i dont want TPS to provide more current to the inductor.

The current limit does not mean that the inductor current would reach to 5.8A in the stable performance. This is the limit for over current protection. The current provided by the device is determined by your load rather than the current limit. As a result, you may check your loading current and then get the maximum inductor current to check whether it will go to saturated.

I understood, but we selected the inductor which is having Irms and Isat is 4.0A, we cant change the inductor. But can we change a limit to the 5.8A to 4A?
