BQ25713: about maximum charge current and buck mode

Hi Experts,

about BQ25713 application, I have two question:

1. does it able to use 5mΩ to achieve higher charge current, what is the side effect?

2. if it only work as buck charger, does the boost mode MOSFET Q3 and Q4 can be removed?

    Hi Anderson,

    1. With a lower sense resistor value (5 mOhm) the sense voltage across this resistor will be lower, therefore the charge regulation accuracy will be lower.

    2. This device is designed to use all 4 MOSFETs and should not be operated without removal of any of these MOSFETs, even if the Charger is planned to be used in Buck Mode only.
