Hi TI Team,

The lot failed for ID check as in screenshot below. We have run few lots previously without any issue. Please help to advise below:

1) When TI have update the device ID with the new firmware?

2) Please advise when is the affected datecode with this new firmware.

3) How we can differentiate the firmware upfront (before production loading) as this will affect the device ID.

Example: A typical DEVICE_ID string is UCD90320|3.00.0.3029|160915. In this example,

Hardware device = UCD90320

Firmware Major Release = 3

Firmware Minor Release = 00

Firmware Sub-Release = 0

Firmware Build Number = 3029

Firmware Build Date = September 15, 2016

From the datasheet, this differences is because of the firmware build number and date.

TI had updated the UCD90320 firmware last August so the material with date code 08-2021 or onwards shall have the new firmware 3320. The PCN has been issued last years to customer

The PCN shall send to your cooperate office last year unless you are a new customer after July-2021.

This is a easily fix from your host programming tool:

you need add the new device_id

Hi Yihe,

Can you help to resend the PCN to me? May i know TI have send this to whom as per your mentioned "cooperate office"? We need to know this to avoid the same issue happen again in future and need to check/alert with the person who received the PCN why he/she not inform us in advance.

Did you purchase the parts from distribution channel since I can not find your company name as the customer of UCD90320?

You may contact your sources to get the PCN.

Attached below the invoice for the part we purchased. Please help to check, for all PCN TI will send to whom for SMART MODULAR TECHNOLOGIES? So i can contact the person for the PCN.
