Hi,
The customer is considering changing FAN5333BSX to LM3410XMF.
Please review whether LM3410XMF can be used for the existing schematic.
LCD backlight spec : IF=180mA / VF=9 ± 0.9V.
The FAN5333 can perform FB dimming.

hi CHO
may I ask the customer and application here? As LM3410 is a quite old device, I would like to check the requirement with you and see if there is a better choice.
Is PWM dimming a must(LED current on and off) or customer can accept analog dimming (only change current amplitude)?
hi Cho
thanks for the information. If customer wants a P2P device with PWM dimming, then I think LM3410 is only choice and I think the schematic is ok.
BTW, just for your information if customer is interested for other medical projects, we are now developing a new device supporting buck, boost or buck-boost topology, input range 4V-65V, current capability up to 4A, ultra deep dimming ratio.
