TPS3711: Part Number Suggestion

Hi Team,

The main power input in my design is 12V. I need to monitor this 12V power and generate the PGOOD signal.

The comparator should generator power good when supply voltage is more than 10.5V . The comparator output is connected to a FPGA which can accept voltage level of 3.3V.

I am planning to use TPS3711 for this requirement. Please provide your feedbacks on the selection.

Hi Shifali,

The TPS3711 is an older part and I would recommend the TPS3899DL01DSER for better supply. The TPS3899DL01DSER has an adjustable sense pin that can monitor the 12V power with an external resistor voltage divider. The Vdd pin and reset pullup resistor can be powered with 3.3V.

Hi Walter,

The suggested part TPS3899 has CTS and CTR delay pins. I dont require any delay pins for my design. I would like to use either TPS3711 or TPS3710. Please suggest.

I have selected TPA3710 for my design requirement. I have attached my circuit design. Request you to review the same and provide your feedbacks.

VDD=3.3V

The monitoring Volageis 12V. I have set the threshold to limit of 10.5V. AlsTPS3710DSER.pdfo please verify the pullup resistor value.
