PTN78020W: relation between free-air temperature and aging test temperature

Dear team,

I get a problem:

First party requires us to do aging test with 65℃/24h. We have a PTN78020W on the board and it increase to 67℃ when room temperature is 27-28℃.

In this case, when room temperature is 65℃, the PTN78020W will reach 105℃, which is over 85℃ ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS in datasheet.

Specally, the PTN78020W is a multi-chip device without a Jc parameter, so I do not know how to check the device can be aging test in 65℃/24h or not.

Hello Huang,

We could not find age testing data. however the spec you are looking at is the operating free air temperature. This is not the temperature of the device and should not be confused with it. At an operating temperature of 85C the device will be higher than 85C. The max junction temperature is typically 125C of our devices.
