Hi Ti team,

1,USB insert exit ship mode, found that QON voltage will drop, is this normal? What causes the QON voltage to drop?

2,When entering ship mode, QON will have a negative voltage. May I ask what causes this negative voltage? Are there any risks associated with negative pressure?

3,QON pull-down exit ship mode and USB insertion exit ship mode. Are these two ship mode exits related or independent?

Hi,

For 1 & 2, were the waveforms taken on the customer board or the EVM?

For 3, referring to 8.3.7.2 BATFET Enable (Exit Ship Mode) on the d/s, these are separate events which can enable the BATFET.

Hi,

For 1& 2, could you please provide the charger operating conditions such as VBUS (voltage at VBUS pin), IVBUS, VBAT (voltage at BAT pin), IBAT, VSYS, ISYS before and after ship mode tests?

Hi,

Since the EVM does not show the same behavior, please suggest the customer to follow the QON circuitry on the EVM on their board and try again.
