Good day,

Kindly help me on the part number UCC27282QDRQ1 for the tape and reel information.

Please confirm if it is normal if there is no empty tape at the beginning of the reel?

I cannot find this in tape and reel information in the datasheet.

Hello Isagani,

A co worker of mine found the following app note on the tape and reel details. The information can be found on this link below.

Surface Mount - Tape & Rl (Rev. I) (ti.com)

Section 5 has a table showing the leader length which should be the blank tape leader at the beginning of the reel.

Hi Richrad,

This means it is not normal if there is no empty tape at the beginning of the reel?

It should have 500mm ~ 1200mm Overall Leader Length (empty tape at the beginning of the reel).

From the document table this is what I conclude as well that there should be a leader within the measurement range shown.

The parts are new and original and with original factory label. Is it normal to have the parts in reel without the leader?

Hello Isagani,

From the document I shared showing the tape and reel details and specifications, I expect that the reels should have the leader length as indicated. I have not heard of this issue before, so I do not think this is common.

Since I assume you are a distributor, I assume you have a method to submit requests for FA back to TI. I would suggest submitting an FA request and describe the issue with the reel missing the leader tape.
