Hi, about the TPS2546 chip, it has a cdp/sdp auto switch function that will make the vbus actively power down, I would like to inquire how long is the power down time?
Then the chip will become sdp after vbus is re-powered and then switch back to cdp, I would like to know how long does sdp last?
Hi Clarence,
Thanks for reaching out to E2E, let me reach out to a team member who will know more and i'll get back to you by next week.
Thanks and Regards,

Hi Clarence,
Hi, about the TPS2546 chip, it has a cdp/sdp auto switch function that will make the vbus actively power down, I would like to inquire how long is the power down time?
For power down (step2), the device runs an OUT discharge event. There are two times associated with the Output Discharge event. From section 9.1.1, when going from DCP_AUTO to SDP1/SDP2/CDP t_DCH_S time is ~310ms.
Then the chip will become sdp after vbus is re-powered and then switch back to cdp, I would like to know how long does sdp last?
For the SPD portion, I was not able to find a specific time for how long the device remains in SDP. All I found was during CPD/SDP auto switching, the SPD auto switch has a typical value of 2 seconds. (min 1.3, max 2.8)
Thanks and Regards,
