I have completed a Webench design for a -15 V supply. See Q3 -15V LM5575 POL. It does not show the exposed pad connection. Can it be connected to the input power common. That would provide the best heat sinking.

For an IBB the exposed pad must be connected to the negative output voltage node. It is a ground pin of the IC. So, like the other ground pins of the IC it must be
connected to the negative output voltage of the IBB. You can increase the area of the negative output plane on the PCB to provide better heat sink are.
