LM5156-Q1: LM5156-Q1 DC/DC 9-36V input, 195V output, 0.1A

Part Number: LM5156-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS40210, , LM5156

Dear Representative,

I'm planning to design automotive DC/DC with the next characteristics: Vin: 9-36VDC, Vout=195VDC, Iout=0.1A, Temperature range: -40..+70.

Before this design started, we got sample of fly-back DC/DC based on TPS40210  from our client. The most important problem - is transformer, which has T=63C with 25C ambient.

So I deceded to do redesign of that DC/DC to reduce significantly temperature of transformer.

According to what Webench offered I choose LM5156-Q1. But there are some questions:

1. Will be LM5156 efficient for parameters I described above?

2. After quick preliminary design in Webench, the tool show alert like: "Phase margin is too low: 0 degree < 35.0 degree. This may lead to unstable design. Sorry, we don't have auto compensation enabled for this device. You
may still manually update compensation components or optimize the design" - so is it critical or it can be corrected?

3. May be you can advise another IC or topology for that DC/DC if LM5156 is not good for the task?

Thank you!
Sergej.
