PTN78000W: Tolerance Specs

Part Number: PTN78000W

Tolerances specified in the datasheet of PTN78000W.

  1. what is Set-point voltage tolerance (±2%)?
  2. what is the tolerance of error amplifier?
  3. Total output voltage variation (±3%): it stated the test condition including set point, line, load.
    1. Does "set point" mean the set point tolerance was included in the total tolerance calculation?
    2. what is the line condition?
    3. what is the load condition?

Thank you for your helps in advance.

Best regards,

Jason

  • Hi Jason,

The setpoint voltage tolerance is in reference to the output voltage. Based on the note above the table, this tolerance is in reference to 5Vout fixed, so +/-2% would be 4.9V to 5.1V.

In terms of the tolerance of the error amplifier, are you looking for information on the internal voltage reference?

In terms of the total output voltage variation:

    a. Yes set point tolerance was included in the total tolerance calculation.

    b. The line condition is over the input voltage operating range in this case 7V to 36V.

    c. The load condition is over the output current range from 0 to 1.5A

Also see footnote #3 for more information.
