BQ76952: 0x0076 DASTATUS6() subcommand

Hi Team,

When using the 0x0076 DASTATUS6() subcommand to get the integrated passed charge, the upper 32-bits value will randomly jump to FFFF FFFF; then I add the 0x0082 RESET_PASSQ()
subcommand after 0x0076 DASTATUS6(), interesting, the upper 32-bits value will fixedly jump to xxxx FFFF once.

Could you kindly help me understand what is causing this error?

Hi Francis,

Are you using the RST_SHUT() pin to reset the device? There is a note in the TRM that explains that you will get strange results after a reset until the 0x0082 RESET_PASSQ() command is sent.

Hi Matt,

The device does not restart during charge integration. Could the sampling interval time be causing this problem, such as 250ms?

Hi Francis,

The sampling interval should not be an issue. The only time I have heard of this value being reported is after a partial reset using the RESET_SHUT pin. This doesn't completely reset the device, but it will give a strange Accumulated Charge reading.
