Inductive howling

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV62569

Dear all,

I am Crystal,  the customer is using the chip of  SILERGY SY8120B1ABC,and it have a question, Inductive howling, this is very great impact on audio customer, and the customer is now use theTLV62569 (2A, 1.5MHz), but it not solve the problem, so I find the help to solve this problem, Could  you help me to solve this problem, and give me some feedback, this can give us to find more opportunities in customers.

  • Hi Crystal,

Can you share the customer's schematic with TLV62569? Also, please let me know which package did the customer use for TLV62569?

As I see from the silergy schematic, there is an additional pin BS, which is connected to the SW pin through a capacitor and We do not have that in TLV62569. Hence, I would be able to better understand the issue with the TLV62569 schematic.

    Thanks!

    Best regards

  • Hello Sneha,

Thanks for your reply, the customer‘s schematic is as following, it is use TLV62569PDDCR, but it still have inductive howling problem, Could you pls help to solve this problem, this can give us to find more opportunities in customers.

  • Hi Crystal,

Thanks for sharing the schematic. I do not see any criticaI concern in the schematic. However, I would like to understand the purpose of using the below circuit in the feedback circuit:

The voltage feedback is taken at two locations here. Can you share the reason for this?  And, What is VDDCPU_PWM?

Also, can you share how is the device supplied and what is the load?

    Thanks!

    Best regards

    Sneha

  • Hello Sneha,

Thanks for your reply, the voltage feedback may be have some problem, I recommended customer remove R51(10K),and the VDDCPU_PWM is digital square wave, 0V or 5.5V; the device supplied is USB 5V,and the output is to chip power supply, output voltage 0.86-1.14V adjustable.

    Many thanks!

  • Hi Crystal,

Okay. Let me know if helps to solve the problem.

In addition, can you please share what is the purpose of digital square wave at the FB pin? As per my understanding, FB pin should only be used to sense the output voltage. Please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Best regards
