TPS22917L Pspice simulation: TPS61093: how do i correctly add TPS61094_TRANS to pspice for TI ?

somehow the model for TPS61094 is not added correctly to pspice for TI.

I tried to download the encrypted model and add to pspice for TI placing the file in the folder cds_spb_home\cdssetup\pspTILibDir

I can see the part name but the path seems wrong and i get an error

ORCAP-2472 failed to place symbol instance for model TPS61094_TRANS because library "TPS61904_TRANS.olb" does not exist .. 

I also have ssue with  tps63900 which is no where to be found in pspice for tI either .

help --> reinstall models and lib does not make a difference

TPS61093 works like it should but it is not the part i am interested in.

    Hi Thomas,

     Maybe you can go to simulation settings to change library path manually, Simulation settings -> Configuration Files -> Library.

    should it be possible to find TPS61094 or tps63900 in the default pspice for TI installation ?

    If i search for "TPS6109", i get the following

    on the TI website i have found pspice model for the 2 parts above but i am not sure what do to with them (and why they are not in pspsice for TI in the first place ..) please advise

    Hi Thomas,

    If you want simulate TPS61094 and TPS63900 pspice model, you can just go to the corresponding product page on ti.com, then you can find the encrypted model, click Download then you will get the model and the usage examples of the model. I think this is the best convenient way to get the model.

    i did that for one of the 2 parts yesterday, but not using pspice for TI .. just our normal orcad license.

    Are these 2 parts (TPS61094 and TPS63900 ) not part of the default TI library in pspice for TI ?

    I am not sure if these 2 parts are in the default TI library, but the model you download in the device page (as I said in last reply) should be no problem. And more, we recommend that it'd better to use these model in PSpice for TI you can find the tutorial of Pspice for TI by this link.

    Sorry, it seems that there is a little problem with this mode. I have submit a request about this. If you are in a hurry, you can try this model in Pspice, not Pspcice for TI.

    Are you getting this model from ti.com TPS22917 product page or from the pspice for ti library? If you downloaded it from TI.com you'll need to make sure you've moved the appropriate files into your project and included the libraries from it as well into your simulation profile.

    You can also use the following training to create the olb file if the above isn't working:

    I am not sure

    I have searched pspice for TI to get this part TPS22917 and found the part but got that error message. The path for this part look similar to the paths for other working parts pspsice for TI. Afterward i downloaded the part from TI.com and used pspsice where it was working.

    Out of of the 3 or 4 parts (all TI parts) that i tried to use pspice for TI, i had to use a full spice for almost all of them which beat the purpose of using pspice for TI ..

    I have tried to reinstall the models and lib several time already (using help --> reinstall TI models and lib), but something must be choking in the process regarding the library and priority path. I just can't pin point what it is.

    Again, do not use help --> reinstall TI models and lib if you need the latest models. This is for troubleshooting and It reverts to the earliest version of the library which does not have the newer models.

    10-28 is quite new. what is still missing?

    if you force it to update, you get the 3-17 version. Restart the tool and accept the updates to latest.

    It looks like you cannot connect to our file servers. Are you in a VPN, do you have some proxy setting that prevents that?

    before i start pspice for TI the folder looks similar to yours :  

    The version indicated in the log file Pspice_Lib_Version is " 2022-11-22T15:59:02-06:00" .. but when i start pspice for TI the version in pspice for TI is still 2022-03-17T05:44:57-06:00 and looking at the file in the path "C:\cds_spb_home\cdssetup\pspTILibDir\download" it looks like all files gets updated again but without any change on pspice for TI ... I let pspsice for TI running in the back ground for a while to see if it makes any difference somehow.

    One of the file which looks strange is the "UpdateConfigure.json" ..  the versions in that files are 2 years old and don't change

    After a few minutes the folder stabilise and activity stops

    In the library log "LibraryUpdate.log" i get

    Hi Thomas,

    Your first screenshot does not look like it's ready. But, according to the content of "C:\cds_spb_home\cdssetup\pspTILibDir\download\LibraryUpdate.log" above, the folder is ready now. Please close and start PSpice for TI. It should prompt you to update the library now.

    I can see parts for all needed part , i.e. TPS2291L and TPS63900 , TPS61094
