Hi Team,

Does the CP2112 works with BQ25710EVM? My customer is encountering error "NO free adaptors available for use on this system".

In user guides, the device uses only EV2400 for communication and not sure with CP2112.

    Hello May,

    If it follows the SMBus protocol and you use slave address 12 for the BQ25710, it is compatible with the EVM Hardware.

    The error mentioned, "NO free adaptors available for use on this system" sounds like it is from the Battery Management Studio software that goes along with our EVM. This software is only compatible with EV2300/EV2400.

    If the customer wants to use another device for SMBus communication, they will still be able to communicate with the EVM but will not be able to use the Battery Management Studio software for it.
