Dear TI team,

Thanks in advance,

Hi Andreas,
It looks like the TPS3820-50QDBVRQ1 was used as a name during a refresh of the TPS3820-50DBVRQ1G4, as the G4 is an outdated "lead-free" marker.
Both parts are NRND, and it is highly recommended to use the equivalent TPS3820-50QPDBVRQ1.
Thanks,
Patrick
Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
Does it mean that the G4 -even Q1 qualified- does not follow the current lead-free regulation? Or not for upcoming lead-free regulation?
Best regards,
Andreas
Hi Andreas,
The -G4 follows lead-free regulation, and is RoHS compliant/Green (low halogen), as are all of the TPS382x devices. The -G4 suffix was used to denote lead-free devices when the industry was transferring from leaded to lead-free, and is obsolete because devices are mainly lead-free now.
I believe that the two devices are equivalent except in name.
Thanks,
Patrick
