Half-Bridge N-Channel Power MOSFET Driver recommendation inquiry.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5109B, LM5106

Hi, TI Expert

Customer is looking for a Half-Bridge N-Channel Power MOSFET Driver.

Specifications are as follows.

1.Use: Motor forward/reverse conversion
2. Current: 1A under
3.Voltage: motor driving voltage 24V

Please recommend an item that meets the above specifications.

thank you

  • Hello Grady,

I think the LM5109B might be good for this application. It provides 1 amp of drive current sourcing and sinking. It can switch bus voltages up to 100 V. This allows it withstand any high voltage transients from the switching action. It does not have an internal boot diode though.

Does the customer have any preference regarding internal vs external boot diode?

The LM5106 has similar specifications, but it comes with a integrated boot diode and programmable dead time.

  • Dear, Ethan

    Thanks for the reply.
It is said that the customer made a wrong inquiry.

It is called Full-Bridge N-Channel Power MOSFET Driver, not Half-Bridge N-Channel Power MOSFET Driver.

Please check again with Full-Bridge N-Channel Power MOSFET Driver.

    Full-Bridge N-Channel Power MOSFET Driver.

    Specifications are as follows.

    1.Use: Motor forward/reverse conversion

(A coil-load is used for the valve connected to the motor side, to control the valve for variable phase change from 24V to GND.)

    2. Current: 1A under

    3.Voltage: motor driving voltage 24V

Please recommend an item that meets the above specifications.

    Thank you.
