What are the differences between the devices in the BQ796xx family?
Cell Module Monitors for HV stacks:
BQ79616-Q1 is stackable 16 channel with dedicated bus bar BBP/BBN pins
BQ79656-Q1 is stackable 16 channel with shunt-resistor current sense SRP/SRN pins. This device has limited bus bar support for voltage measurements only
Last digit number can vary between 2/4/6 options that indicates 12/14/16 channels
Bridge Communications:
BQ79600-Q1 is a communication bridge that has UART/SPI host interfaces.
Battery Junction Box Application:
BQ79631-Q1 is UIR (voltage, current, insulation resistance) sensor for BJB applications
48V Application:
BQ75614-Q1 is non stackable pack and cell monitor with shunt-resistor current sense SRP/SRN pins for 48V applications. This device has limited bus bar support for voltage measurements only
12V Application:
BQ796506-Q1 pack and cell monitor up to 6 channels. It also supports shunt-resistor current sensing.
