Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62867
Hi,
I want to evaluate a dual phase Buck Converter done with TPS62480 against a Discrete N-MOS H-D Buck.
The Design of the Discrete Buck is the following :
Vin = 3.7V,
PWM = 0-3.3V, 100kHz, duty-cycle ~0.5
The design has been done by a fellow engineer so I don't fully understand it. Especially the use of a NMOS for the High-Drive side and the supposedly "bootstrap" to drive it.
From my calculation, the inductor seems to be too low, causing current ripples of about 0.9 A. Can someone confirm if this circuit can perform as a Buck ?
