BQ25606: The CE pin of the chip is damaged and shorted to GND.

Part Number: BQ25606

The CE pin of the chip（BQ25606） is damaged and shorted to GND.The adapter of this charger is dc12V，the battery is 4.2V.

When there is no adapter （DC 12V ），I plug in and out the battery several times，then the CE pin is damaged and shorted to GND, 

The CE pin is protected by 5V ESD diode，How can i solve the problem？

    Hi David,

    The /CE pin of the device is active low. Below is a typical application diagram that shows how the pins are usually connected. You can see that the /CE pin is tied directly to GND. Do you have a pull-up source connected to /CE to disable charging? If the /CE pin is shorted to GND, this does not necessarily mean the pin is damaged unless you are actively trying to pull the pin high to disable charging.
