BQ25703A: BQ25703A Battery charging problem

Part Number: BQ25703A

Hi TI,

Good day.

We are using BQ25703A IC, but getting a charging problems. When DC power is applied for the first time, charging works well. However there is a problem in that it does not charge when re-inserted after disconnecting the DC power. It is always charged only when it is booted after the first DC power is turned on, and is not charged when the DC power is turned on again after the booting is completed.

Any help would be appreciable please provide the appropriate solution

Best regards

Richard

  • Hi, Richard,

It looks you ran into IINDPM.  IINDPM=500mA. Is this correct?

    Regards,

    Tiger

  • Hi, Tiger.

    It is correct.

    The setting is as below.

Does the IINDPM value have anything to do with not charging?

    Thanks

  • Hi, Richard,

After the second plug in, the charge current register is reset to zero. You need to setup the charge current register again.
