Hi,

I read about the new R3 firmware on the forum and there is already an addendum document. We have high needs for the balancing at rest as we use big capacity packs and packs that are not very often charged. It's also LiFePo4 wich doesn't make it easier to keep track of balance. Can you please keep us updated? Also, if a beta version exists, we want to try the function.

I also found out if we keep a charging current flowing, the balancing stops after some time(3-5 min), while not being in balance according to the settings. I hope this time does not exist in the R3 firmware so it will balance until within the set treshold.

    Hello Robert,

    The main change for the BQ78350-R3 is adding in the cell balancing in relax functionality. The intended release date is within the next month.

    You can share your .gg file and log file with configurations for us to verify the operation you are seeing in your current setup if you think it is not behaving correctly.
