LMR62014: bottom marking off center or shifted

Part Number: LMR62014

Hi TI Experts,

I would like to consult about the inconsistency in printing the bottom and top markings of this part LMR62014XMF/NOPB.

As you could see in the picture, one is shifted to the left, the other one is a little bit shifted above.

May I know if this is OK, generally speaking across all other TI parts as I have been noticing this regularly.  Is there any required tolerances with respect to the shifting of the markings, or any inspection guideline pertaining to such case that could tell when to pass or fail?

  • Hi Reyes,

The shifts showed in your pictures are in the allowable range. With a preliminary check, for the SOT-23 package, the tolerance of marking position is loose. As long as the marking is in the package boundary, it will be accepted.

    Regards

    Lei
