Hi Team,
Our customer have TPS65987D set to “Configuration 3”.
I understand that TPS65987D can support “UFP only (Internal Switch) / 5-20 V at 0.9 - 3.0 A Sink capability”.
If USB PD adapter of maximum 60W, TPS65987D can support UFP.
However, their evaluation results are not as expected.
I would like to the reason why VBUS is not the target voltage at 1,4,5 of <Their evaluation results>.
And, could you please let us know if you have any workaround?
<Their evaluation results>
Behavior varies of TPS65987D depending on the connected USB PD adapter.
1.If connected 100W(20V/5A), VBUS is 5V *I guess that 100W is over power so TPS65987D can’t support
2.If connected 60W(20V/3A), VBUS is 20V *Expected result
3.If connected 45W(20V/2.25A), VBUS is 20V *Expected result
4.If connected 20W(12V/1.6A), VBUS is 5V *I don't understand why it can't be 12V.
5.If connected 20W(9V/2.2A), VBUS is 5V *I don't understand why it can't be 9V.
